MIREI Profile

MON is pleased to present, following last year’s event, a custom T-shirt order exhibition by Okinawa-based illustrator MIREI, whose creative practice is inspired by the nature and everyday life of Okinawa.

MIREI’s warm and expressive illustrations, created through line drawings and objects, are inspired by familiar scenes of daily life, including flowers, plants, and birds. For this special order event, you can combine newly created illustrations with your preferred T-shirt size, color, and ink to create a one-of-a-kind piece just for you.

A wide range of sizes is available, from children’s size 90 to adult XL, making these T-shirts perfect for yourself or as a thoughtful gift.
Why not spend the increasingly long summer with a special T-shirt made just for you?

We look forward to welcoming you.

MIREI Profile
Born in Okinawa in 1974, MIREI graduated from the Design Department of the Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts in 1998. After working at a design studio, she became independent in 2002. In 2007, she studied briefly in France, and in 2008 held a solo exhibition in Paris. Following the birth of her child in 2010, she began painting imaginary flowers, later developing the series peaceful garden, through which she has presented artworks, calendars, and other creations. In 2013, together with her husband, she opened the gallery shop RENEMIA in Okinawa, expanding the space for both her creative practice and exhibitions.
